In almost 30 years of working in corporate , I discovered one common thread that causes inefficiency, of projects running over deadline… every manager has their idea of what information is needed in order for the engineer to complete the work.
In reality, to complete most projects an engineer needs:

- A detailed specification
- The relevant Datasheets
For increased productivity, the engineer can make use of:

- Shared reference files from previous similar projects
- Access to Engineers who have previously completed similar work
I’ve seen projects that previously took one month to complete, being completed in 2 days just because the correct specifications and information was given at the beginning of the project.
